These terms are an agreement between City Maid Clean LLC, a Michigan limited liability company based in Farmington Hills (“we,” “us”), and the person or household booking our services (“you”). By booking a cleaning with us, you agree to them.
We provide residential cleaning only — houses, apartments and condos. Our services are:
We do not provide commercial or office cleaning, janitorial contracts, construction clean-up, biohazard remediation, pest control, carpet or upholstery shampooing, or exterior work. If a job needs one of those, we'll tell you so rather than attempt it.
Exactly what's included in your cleaning is agreed with you when you book. If you need something outside the usual scope, ask — we'll tell you whether we can do it and what it changes about the price.
We quote before we clean. You'll get a price based on the size and condition of your home and the service you've chosen, and nothing is booked until you've agreed to it.
A quote assumes the home is roughly as described. If we arrive and the property is substantially different from what was discussed — significantly larger, or in a condition that requires far more time than a normal clean of that size — we'll stop and talk to you about it before continuing. We won't quietly do extra work and hand you a bigger bill.
Prices are not published on this website because they depend on your specific home. Call or email for a quote.
We'll agree a date and an arrival window with you. Real-world scheduling means arrival times are approximate; if we're running late, we'll let you know.
You're responsible for making sure we can get in. That might mean being home, leaving a key, providing a code, or arranging building access for an apartment or condo. If we arrive and cannot access the property, we may not be able to perform the cleaning, and depending on the circumstances the visit may still be chargeable — we'll discuss that with you rather than surprise you.
Please make sure utilities are on. We need running water and electricity to clean.
Life happens and plans change — we understand that. If you need to cancel or move an appointment, contact us as soon as you know, and we'll work with you.
Because cancellations at short notice mean a booked slot goes unfilled, notice requirements and any associated fee are confirmed with you at the time of booking, and those confirmed terms apply to your appointment. We'll always tell you the terms up front — never after the fact.
We may need to reschedule occasionally too, for weather, illness, or an emergency. If we do, we'll contact you as early as we can and find another time.
This website does not process payments. There is no online checkout and we do not collect card details through this site.
Payment arrangements — when payment is due, and which methods we accept — are confirmed with you directly when you book. Please make sure you're clear on them before your first cleaning; ask us if you're not.
To let us do a good job, and to keep everyone safe, we ask that you:
We reserve the right to decline or stop a job if a property is unsafe, or if anyone in the home behaves abusively toward our staff.
If you're not happy with a cleaning, tell us. Contact us promptly after the visit — while we can still see the issue and address it — and we'll work with you toward a fair resolution.
If something is damaged or broken during a cleaning, report it to us as soon as you notice. Reporting promptly matters: the sooner we know, the better we can establish what happened and sort it out. Report it to us directly, in writing where possible, and we'll respond.
Cleaning has limits, and being honest about them up front avoids disappointment:
To the fullest extent Michigan law allows, our liability arising out of a cleaning is limited to the amount you paid for that cleaning. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly cleanings continue on the agreed schedule until you tell us to stop. There is no long-term contract and no lock-in period — you can end recurring service at any time by letting us know. We just ask for enough notice that we're not showing up to a cancelled visit.
If we need to change the price of a recurring service, we'll tell you before the change takes effect, and you're free to stop the service if it no longer works for you.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one posted here, with the “last updated” date at the top. The terms in effect when you booked apply to that booking.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
